The high ceilings, exposed brickwork and shuttered windows of Somerset House set the scene for Noon By Noor’s Fall Winter 2024 show this London Fashion Week. Nature was integral to the ‘Winter Solstice’ collection, each look light and soft, only enhanced by natural fabric like mohair wools and British tweeds.

A signature for Noon By Noor, masculine styles of dress were adapted for the self-assured woman. Most notably, a pillar box red suit jacket with large utility pockets and a belted waistband that hugged the body showcased a talent for tailoring. A similarly belted and pocketed cherry red jacket donning oversized lapels was paired with a peplum-like mini skirt, bringing a sense playfulness through proportion.

Whilst the show’s tailoring was a clear standout, the collection had no shortage of beautifully layered and oversized looks, often in the form of blazers and trench coats. Exaggerated trenches fell at the knee and rested off one shoulder, effortless and put-together all at once. Bucket hats covered the eyes of the models who wore them, elevating each look. The Noon By Noor woman knows who she is, and where she’s going, even if she can’t see.

With influences from Isabella Blow and Anna Piaggi, the collection was eclectic but not overwhelming. Dresses were youthful and lightweight, often paired with a lace or pompom trim. A below knee-length slip dress was complete with sheer panelling and patchwork lace, whilst a flower printed mini-dress felt equally youthful with its empire waistline. This wasn’t complete without sheer over the knee socks and clog like wooden soled heels that accompanied many of the looks.

Timeless and elegant, Shaikha Noor Rashid Al Khalifa and Shaikha Haya Mohamed Al Khalifa presented us with a clever amalgamation of London style and Bahraini flare that continues to weave itself through the brand’s identity. Between the impeccable tailoring, lace frills and utility wear, this collection refreshes house codes whilst giving us a new and thoughtful take on who the Noon By Noor woman is.
