“I feel like I’m very different to Patience,” Purvis muses, sitting in the make-up chair ahead of her editorial shoot. “Very different but very similar. Some parts came easy. She’s very obsessive, very driven. It was fantastic that it was authentically cast and that the team was open to collaboration and authenticity. There’s only so much you can do wrong when you authentically cast somebody.”

‘I’ve been making jewellery since the beginning of lockdown…It started off with just transforming cutlery into jewellery, like spoon rings. I thought that would be really easy.

I thought: “I’m a DIY DYKE, I can make this myself!”

“I shot a bit on the new Sandman series, so look out for that. That should be fun. In terms of me and writing stuff, things will happen, I’m sure. I’m definitely writing myself characters that take up space and don’t apologise for who they are! Also, my play Heart is available to buy as a play script, which is such a big thing for me. I hope people enjoy reading it.”
